Why would anybody want to drill ANWR now? Not only would we be decimating our last American frontier, but we would be robbing our own future! Oil in the ground there is our savings bank...! It's what we should use in an emergency only - Let the middle-east run their oil dry. When it does happen, we will have enough oil to keep essential services operating (assuming we are still on foreign oil) until an alternative can be found.

I'd rather pay a premium for foreign gasoline until an alternative is found than rob ourselves of a small but incredibly valuable resource under our own feet, which would only result in a very small savings today. Think about the future, people.
