Well we won't have a future if the prices keep going up.

We do need to protect our enviroment but if the oil companies work with the envirmental groups i am sure they can come up with some kind of agreement.

But having high prices just means people are more likely to trust alternative fuels and hopefully we won't have to be burning oil forever.
Maybe we need $.05/gallon tax to go towards alternative power then we can be rid of the middle east once and for all.
