The 135 guys were the first guys I thought of when I saw the UPS/DHL news. In 2000 or 2001 (I'm not really sure) when Emery stopped flying USPS freight ACC lost most of their runs overnight. I'm not sure how they got through, but I think they found work for most of the planes pretty quickly.
I don't know what will happen with all the extra pilots and airplanes this time around. I expect to see more companies increasing their presence in on-demand freight. I know ACC and Ameriflight already have charter depts. I haven't noticed either of them doing much charter flying lately, but I expect to be competing with them for trips in the near future.
Good luck to everybody affected by this.
