The comms I’ve gotten from pilot hiring seem to agree with the speculation about classes in January.
I had the same situation. I’m pretty sure I called the screening company directly and had to submit an additional form instructing them not to contact the current employer.
Not sure if that’s how it is still done or if it results in a longer screening time.
