If Pratt had to pay in cash for the harm done to every airline in the world this disaster has caused Pratt wouldn’t exist anymore and then there would never be any engines.
So let me get this straight- you're saying it's ok to produce a product that doesn't perform as advertised and do nothing about it. Ford paid out millions for the Pinto's issues and Firestone paid out billions for their debachle in the early 2000's.
Pratt is part of RTX and RTX is worth billions.
Whether or not we can generate a profit with those NEO's out of service remains to be seen. Fact of the matter is we can't even try. But hey, at least they're covering the mx costs up to $150 million. How about they chip in for the leases and storage costs while these planes sit??
