Actually, at our company, they don't "ask". If they get you on your "primary" phone, YOU WILL WORK. Somewhat fortunately, at my company they pay you 200% of your pay, and they can only do it a certain amount a year/ month. I forget what it is, but NOT MUCH!
Doesn't happen much also, because usually when they see a trip that doesn't have coverage coming up, or whatever, they put it in open time, and whoever wants it, can work it for 150% Pay.
