They filed Ch11 instead of CH7 for a reason. I think they really want to be bought whole. Not saying that will happen, but some dim glimmer of hope remains for you guys.

This. And combine this with the fact that the Frontier guy has been meeting with the Spirit execs all this week and it paints a pretty clear picture what is going on in the background. Frontier does not want to pick up pieces in a liquidation, they want more.
Whether or not the creditors will go along with whatever deals are being negotiated remains to be seen but with Frontier in the mix our brothers and sisters at Spirit have a decent chance of making it out of this in pretty good shape.
