We have 3000 senior pilots flying the 777/787 right now and it’s nice to have them out of your way when bidding 737/320 trips.
I think for the OP to ask this question the answer is probably SW, where you simply work hard, make a lot of money, and have a lot of days off, or take it easy and have even more days off. Every thousand number slice of seniority at AA brings a completely different quality of life possibility and that variety makes the career interesting, but we get fewer days off.
