All such benefits should be negotiated, that way the representative process generally provides proper weighting of priorities for the entire group.
Commuter benefits benefit all of us. We may be future commuters ourselves. I also prefer to fly with a well rested crew compliment. Senior and junior pilots commute. Hawaii born pilots commute to their dream job in Hawaii.
