visit with some of our FO’s who got rejected from legacies for not enough time and rejected from regionals for too much time. Then rejected from classier part 135 because they are Arline guys. Guys have had apps out for years and nothing. All working under reserve rules that really inhibit any extra flying so they just keep getting stuck deeper and deeper and more and more depressed sitting in a crash pad day after day.

Point taken, I was only thinking of top two thirds and I did not consider those with less time. I have been furloughed and although it was short it was extremely unpleasant, as you accurately described, to be short on time and essentially gatekept from improving my situation while those senior to me vacuumed up every minute of open time to gorge themselves.
