supposedly 24 of the next 26 are being delivered with a high first class layout and low economy. So my guess is that they will replace the 767s in the same configuration and probably the 777s flying to high priced destinations (HND/LHR/ZRH/GVA/TLV/SIN)
then those planes will backfill be retired or fly somewhere new. The oldest 767s hit their HMVs next spring……that’s 20 frames.
this is just the first bid…….
787s take over the 3 SFO-LHR flights and both the SFO -SYD flights and the SFO - HND flights. Then those 777s go out to EWR/DCA and replace 767s then those 767s either get retired backfill a 757 or fly somewhere new.
there doesn’t have to be 767 flying in a certain base for 767 flying to be replaced by a 787.
yeah that’s kind of a big problem it’s killed 3 of our 777 in the last couple months
That makes a lot of sense. Some of those 763s are almost 35 years old and seem like they are having issues. Didn't know about the three 772s.
This is a pretty cool site with lots of interesting information about the fleet.
