As someone reminded me recently, though the last 'hire date" was in March, they were 9E flows that were held back, and actually completed indoc in May. So 5-ish months of hiring.
Gumm will find 500ish pilots worth of efficiencies and shut down hiring. So 800 + 500 phantom pilots = 1300. Welcome to section 6 in 2026. And one guy is already pumping SJS going into 2026 so there's that. What a fun year we will have when DAL turn 101.
