I do like the idea of those being eligible must be 23 or younger when enacted. No body harmed and those are the ones that might need those two years with all the tech coming our way. No pilot shortage now or ever at the majors. Defending the idea of staffing shortages at low paying flying jobs like the regionals, 135 ranks, or the bottom feed ACMI isn’t very honest.
Not sure you'd like the result of the easiest age discrimination lawsuit ever.
According to our mandatory retirement numbers, if I trucked it to mandatory retirement, I'll finish up around top 6-7% based on current numbers. However, looking at MySeniority, at my planned early retirement, if Age 65 stays in place, I'll be out at around 13%. Still not bad, right? If Age 67 rolls around, then leaving at my planned age, it's puts me just over 25% seniority. You think they're greedy? Brah, no need for the mental gymnastics... I'll just go ahead and say the quiet part out loud. I'm greedy.
