I second these testimonies. I too have witnessed and most likely flown with those same guys.
Maybe, we stop sharing gouges for recurrents and watch the failure rates skyrocket among those folk who are still 5 manual revisions behind, don't care, and make up their own procedures as they go.. because, "that's how we did it on the Super 80." Really makes trapping one's errors that much harder when nothing they do is standard.
