In 2019 we had 237 mainline aircraft available to AS pilots on the seniority list. In 2025 we have 245 mainline aircraft, available for you to fly and make a living to feed your family. Our growth is entirely based on an uncertified aircraft. One that likely won’t be certified until 2027. Or later. We have upgraded less than 1% of the pilot group in nearly 2 years. We are still awaiting another position bid. The most junior captain to upgrade in my base was a 2007 hire on the last upgrade bid. We have hired a total of 20 pilots in nearly 2 years. 85% of them Horizon and 15% military. Unless you were 55 or younger at the time of the merger announcement, you’ll never touch a 787.
Do with that information what you will. It’s not all rainbows and unicorns but it’s what’s happening. As to future promises made about growth I’d keep your expectations in check.
