I personally don't mind flying with senior pilots, plenty are great. I do mind, however, when they claim they want to work to 67 to mentor us with their "experience", but then go flying through red cells and make the news.

As stated above, we all make mistakes, but don't act like you're immune from them.


Also something to be said about the exponential LTD after age 60. What if instead of dragging on your career out to age 67 (which dilutes pay, assuming there's a fixed amount in the company budget), you could make the same amount of money, sooner with more movement? Better for all.
