The 135 world is alot more self-reliant than the 121. You will file flight plans, check weather, order fuel, load baggage, perform safety briefs, and see to the pax comfort. Charts, depends on the company. Some make you buy and lug them around. Others stock them in the plane and have you perform the revisions. Pay is what you can negotiate. Various publications do come out with an annual salary survey.
In all I love the interact I have with the pax and the various flight ops. But this job is not the faint of heart.
