They did that too. They put out a lot of articles. For the 73 group an LCA put out a 3 part series on how to calculate bingo fuels.
Maybe that's because the 737 community had a reputation of simply saying, "You should always land with at least 6.0." Years of using crutches like that cause people to panic when they get in situations where landing with 6.0 isn't an option.
