Has a pilot who faced career adversities 25-30 years ago had enough time opportunity to put together at least a modest nest egg that could ensure a roof over their head and food on their table? Absolutely.
This^^^ I was flying as a young guy in the military at the time 30 years ago. The concept that what happened to someone (that is still flying) during that time hasn't been able to made whole by now from industry-wide events is absurd.
