Yeah, and insinuated that this could happen any day by leaving out details.

A similar working paper was introduced in 2003. It had a similar response.
Three years later, after data was collected, ICAO raised the age in 2006.
The US passed a bill in 2007 to raise the age.
If things follow a similar timeline, as it appears they will with support for WP/291 that recommends “a few years of data collection”, this thing is a few years out at earliest. ICAO appears to want more data and then assess. Then the US has to pass a bill.

A stand alone bill like this has zero shot. It doesn’t qualify for reconciliation, and wasn’t attached to the FAA reauthorization or the big bill due to lack of support. Why would it pass on its own?

There was virtually zero chance of it raising in the next few months. He should’ve known that if he was asking for money, but he never portrayed that to the people he was taking it from. A couple of them mentioned they retire in Feb. They gave money.
Bottom line: He has a chance at it raising for him. He gave hope and took money from people hoping it would happen for them, too.

I bet EPAS asks for more money soon and leaves out timelines…again.
