Mesaba has NOT stopped hiring, despite what APC says. As mentioned we are overstaffed on the saab and to even that out the company is allowing FOs to move to the 900 from the saab to fill those seats. Until that stops all folks invited to join the company are being put into a pool. Classes are filled through the summer, so the guys in the pool could end up waiting awhile. Join this will decreased attritian and the fact our deliveries will come to an end in the fall, the hiring machine is slowing down.

As for the rumor... I'll believe it when I see it. IF it is true, I can only imagine that reaction that will happen between the pilot group, especially those of us who were hired pre bankruptcy, contract 2004 and 9/11.
