ruin /roo͞′ĭn/

noun

  1. The state of being physically destroyed, collapsed, or decayed.
    "The castle fell into ruin."
  2. The state of being extensively harmed or damaged.
"Our vacation plans are in ruins."
  3. Poverty of bankruptcy.
"Their decision brought the bank to ruin."
I mean, if you don’t want to work till you die so you miss out (retiring at 65) on 2 years of widebody Capt pay, and you have to start your career at the majors two years later, then it is “extensively harmed or damaged”
