A couple months ago the new Council Chairman sends an email basically stating the Vice Chairman and SecTres are intentionally scheduling council meeting a time they know he can’t attend violating ALPA rules in order to undermine his position. Later that month the Vice Chairman is brought up on recall charges by a pilot who he was supposed to represent during a disciplinary meeting but picked up a premium trip instead. That victim of the alleged ALPA ethics violation publishes a letter outlining the event. The Vice Chairman survives his recall vote thanks to ALPA procedural maneuvering changing the recall to a vote of confidence which because it’s a topic change excludes the ability of the proxy votes to count and then in short order both the Vice Chairman and SecTres publish a joint resignation video. In the totality of the public emails preceding it, the joint resignation video sends the message of “we are guilty of things and our options were resign or suffer the consequences”.
If these resignations were by choice, whatever their intent was, the two reps didn’t account for the the timing of their video on the heels of multiple allegations of impropriety in the months immediately before its release. Bad headwork on their part. It’s really unfortunate because it makes them and the rest of UALPA look AFU. Not FedEx ALPA conspiring with management in a campaign to enact reprisals against “no” voters to their TA level AFU but AFU non the less.
So you’re not based in DC. You didn’t attend the LEC meeting to hear the refutation of all charges except for one which responsibility was accepted and honest mistake admitted. A mistake when considering the representational chain of events was essentially a non event. You’re unaware of the personal issues at hand.
But you’re more than willing to espouse slanderous opinions. The motive is becoming clear.
