UALPA has some issues, like ALPA does everywhere. Post Tumi TA, UAL pilots have not had qualms about initiating recall procedures when they feel that their reps have strayed too far from their will. It’s a messy process but speaks to a strong culture of holding union leadership accountable, which is huge plus.
