24 hours is not enough time to swap a 12 circadian rhythm. It's doable with relief, but 2 days of flying after are asking for trouble.
You don't even try to adjust to the local time, you close the curtains and try to sleep. This is what I did 4 times a month, technically not too many time zones, but always trying to sleep in my daytime....
NK out of LAS. All I did as a junior captain for the first year was 4 day trips, day 1 commute to work, red-eye to FLL, day sleep, red-eye night turn to central America, day sleep, red-eye turn to central America, day sleep, late flight to LAS, red-eye commute home, take care of the kids for 3 days while my partner is on a 3 day, and do it again. Not complaining. Just think that is harder than most cargo long trip schedules.
