I'm not a staple.
I said "a lot" not "most" have retired.
I, just barely, was not affected during covid. APA hung TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED pilots out to dry with incompetence, indifference, cowardice, and from some leadership outright malice. Many of the statements that were made in public at town halls and from leaked emails were absolutely disgusting. Section 6 is what we NEED ALPA for but that won't be the reason I vote yes.
First. I never claimed victimhood. My life has been pretty smooth here- no complaints whatsoever, there are only a few things in my wishlist, but it isn’t anything I can’t live without. I will admit that I am one of those, “my life is peachy” people.
2nd- sorry for using “most” when you said “a lot”.
3rd- sorry for misunderstanding your use of junior. You may not have meant it disparagingly, but any other time someone asks in person about how I feel about APA/ALPA and I say I don’t care, the first response is usually, “ you’re too junior to understand”, and then go on to complain about APA with no explanation of how ALPA makes it better. So, yes, I was an ******* and assumed you meant it smugly.
4th- I will always be an RHIP kinda guy- or in this case- SHIP. So I don’t care if work rules benefit the top third more than the bottom two-thirds.
5th- if **** was so egregious during Covid- and I believe it was- (someone) get the facts out to people that weren’t here. Show the receipts as the kids say. I’m sure it will sway people.
For now, I just don’t care who represents us, but I haven’t been convinced to vote for change.
I’m willing, though.
