Junior pilots were used as pawns both internally inside APA and externally with the company. Of course we weren't ALWAYS negotiating with the company during covid because APA dissolved the NC for like 4 months after the president and NC chair had a fight. So when DAL and UAL ALPA were saving their pilot's jobs APA had no one that was even authorized to talk to the company on our behalf. Junior pilots "losing" is not an isolated incident at APA.
Take it way back. B scale. Scope on rjs. Twa staple job. The most recent example being zero efforts to prevent furlough during COVID. As you cited above. And the excellent reserve system we have now. "It'll reduce the required number of reserves". It did absolutely nothing that was a net positive for anyone not holding a line. We bumbled our way to a contract with decent contract because of the hard work daddy Delta put in. Our nc chair couldn't stay out of premium. We totally ignored our own survey results because it didn't placate to the top 10-15% of the list.
The despicable changes to our own constitution and bylaws. Making apas primary objective to protect the institution of apa. The gustin amendment. It goes on forever.
