Is there an ongoing effort to repeal this amendment? I am on the fence with the merger issue. Salient points have been brought up by both camps. This Gustin Amendment is a big red flag. Was the membership polled on the implementation of this? And who arrived at 25 years? This stinks of APA officer-level job protectionism. I'm sure the response from APA leadership is that they're just trying to protect dues from being wasted on such frivolous matters. It does sound like ALPA has better levers for removing poor leadership.
