Ohhhh, gotta disagree with you there. The trips can most certainly get worse. You can't cherry pick one trip. Remember, these are averages
across a whole bid package. If the company could fly us an average of an additional :45 minutes a day, they 100% would. Every single trip would be terrible, instead of only the junk that goes junior. And they's pat themselves on the back for saving another 500-1000 pilots worth of productivity, and cash their MIP checks before you can call the van for the layover.
Thankfully ALPA has access to the optimizer ("Carmen"), and can see the results changes like this spit out. I would strongly encourage you to talk to your reps about it - you'd be surprised.
