Maybe someone should have started a lost decade regional pilot group and organized some conferences?

How many people move to LA to make it big in acting but retire waiting tables at a truck stop? How many college athletes don't make it to the pros?

Socioeconomic success isn't really doled out in a 'fair' manner. Things seem pretty good right now though for prospective airline pilots. Maybe a little less good than 2-3 years ago. But I'm not sure it's time to start whining though.
