Parker always said he'd match the other contracts in $ value. He even offered to adopt Delta's contract verbatim. He seemed to think as long as costs are similar, we could compete on management alone.
Unfortunately for him, that was pre-covid when AA would never lose money again and $3b in profit was a "bad year", while $7b was a "good year".
