Sierra Vista is really a great place to live. Temperatures are around 10 degrees cooler than Tucson, and the mountain views are beautiful. My wife use to comment the traffic was almost a non-issue, she could run to the grocery store at anytime of the day and not encounter large traffic. The only issue we found with living in SV, was the public schools are lacking. Fortunately for us I was still in the Army Reserve and was able to get our daughter enrolled in the DoD school at Fort Huachuca. If I had to do it over again, I wouldn't mind it, SV was very pretty and you can live pretty well on our salary there.
Is Sierra the only UAV base?
