Fedex rejected a contract and shock of all shock they now don’t have a deal and are upset about it. If you are going to reject a deal you most certainly need to believe your present deal is better than what was on offer.
One buffer on drag-outs would be if say our contract was a 4 year wity X/Y/Y/Y percentage raises. "If not contract by amenable date, annual raises to continue by 1.5Y percentage"
Basically keep the annual raise plus a bit coming.
