Maybe in the 80's and 90's that was a thing because there were so many more family practices staffed by actual doctors. But in today's world medicine has changed, and primary care is almost always administered by NPs, PA's, etc, and they are perfectly capable of verifying an illness for a GFB or sick verification.
Absolutely true and was a must fix in my survey. Trying to see an actual doctor in this day and age is difficult, even in an ER.
