Then you haven't done many long NY's...... The hotel itself is on the corner where you get dropped off. It's just not where the entrance to the lobby is. It isn't like the hotel is in the middle of the block from the corner and have to walk to it. There I could see the complaint having merit.
I would rather walk the 50 ft to the door than sit in the NY traffic for them to circle around to get on the street to be dropped off in front of the door.
It's also like that in some PHX downtown areas, especially when they have road construction. SMH at pilots that can't walk 30 ft. They sound like 80 year old FAs.
