March/April is good time to go, but be aware that the flights are almost always Payload Optimized, so even if you listed for the jumpseat, you wouldn't be allowed to flow to the back even if there were open seats and they were at their passenger limit.
If I not mistaken, this pilot is from another airline. Thus, they would be jumpseating and not non-revving unless doing a Zed fare. I’m not up-to-date on the international side of jumpseating so not sure the rules around that and they may indeed have to purchase a Zed ticket.
