I got hired in September of 24 and since then we have two somewhat "Large" NB CA Vacancy Bids since then, (With smaller WB Vacancies and Backfills on the NB etc) I can't remember exactly but I feel like around this time last year we had one which was mostly Airbus and now this one which is mostly 737. 2000-2500 this year (based on the rumor mill )and retiring 600 pilots shouldn't there be more CA Vacancies? or am I missing something (Probably the case because I'm just not that smart).
737CA seems to be too healthy staffed already (thanks to their 2024 mandatory Indoc Captain upgrades making it to the line in 2025) for their liking so they don’t need as many in a big vacancy. In 2026 United was supposed to be in its second year of “one plane arriving on average every three days” delivery schedule not starting it (maybe- We’ll see what actually happens).
