I was at ACA. I really don't remember that attitude. It was more of a "if that's the terms they want, no thanks" type of attitude. Although we did think it was going to be interesting to watch how they were going to replace. But yep, they were able to pull it off, and it was a goat rope

Most people don't know anywhere near the full story of what happened there.

And I have the same question, is that fuzzy math? 40 + 24 + 64. XJT currently has 205 planes in CAL colors. Are there 141 just laying around on the Freedumb certificate? Also, it's no seccret, but unless they get desperate, I dont' think CAL wants ANYTHING to do with J.O. given thier prior history. If I remember correctly, MAG's bid wasn't even accepted a few years back when CAL decided to pull the first %25. Yep, they could replace the flying, but not just from the sources you mentioned. That would entail getting CPA's with A LOT more regionals. I don't think CAL wishes to do that.
