Yes it's been reported that video shows the engine went over the top of the wing, which is what seems to happen in these cases. Physics checks out, even with no fuel those big motors have a LOT of rotational inertia so the fan is still making thrust as it spools down. Once it levers upwards a bit the slipstream is going to tend to catch the underside of the nacelle.
