no way this shutdown lasts another month let alone a year. I can’t even see it lasting through the weekend before thanksgiving. ATC just got their second $0.00 paycheck and I’m expecting this weekend to absolutely fall apart. Most Americans tolerance for an ideological crusade will vanish once they realize it might ruin their holiday plans. Hopefully the senate gets their head out of their @$$ and pays our ATC and TSA.
What if shutdown doesn’t end? Flight cancellations increase to 20 percent? What if government still shut down in 2026? At what point does if stop being a small blip? What if Delta doesn’t hire in January because of it? Does it ever become a black swan to you? Covid started small too, then they shut the country down to get Trump out of office. I’ve learned not to under-estimate the politicians when it comes to Trump. They hate him way more than they care about damaging country and hurting our citizens.
