We plan to begin this effort with a focus on Newark and San Francisco B737 Captain vacancies, where most of the incremental positions continue to be needed. In Q1, we expect to offer a smaller number of B737 and A320 Captain positions to finalize support for the summer demand as network schedules are refined. By March, we expect our narrowbody Captain need to be fulfilled until late 2026."

Also from crew resources "November will be our most significant B737 Captain vacancy bulletin in quite some time as we begin planning for 2026 summer needs. This is expected to be the largest B737 vacancy offering with positions offered primarily in Newark and San Francisco, along with a smaller number of vacancies in Washington and Los Angeles. There will be no Airbus vacancies in November, but a limited number of Airbus Captains will be availabl in December between our Denver and Houston bases. These two offerings are expected to fulfill the majority of the narrowbody Captain need for 2026"

They never said "all" or "only". They clearly said large but with follow on bids.

Its pretty clear that 200 CA bids on the 737 with 128 planes being delivered and 2,500 new hires plus 450 retirements isn't going to staff the airline fully until 2027. Every bid will likely have 737 Captains awards on it from backfills, despite not being posted. But not as large as the current one is.
