So far, 80 vacancies have been announced. From what I’ve gathered, 20 were filled by new hires in August and another 20 will be filled by the December class, which leaves 40 still open.



RL mentioned in the pilot call email that one more position bid is coming, and that matches what both the union and several Horizon pathway pilots have been told, around 80 new hires in January. So while the final bid hasn’t been published yet, it seems pretty firm barring any major curveballs.



In short, yes, I’m assuming some things based on info from RL and the union, who are obviously working from company data. The company’s stated goal appears to be roughly 80 new hires in January, and to get there we’d need that last bid of 40 vacancies.



Not trying to speculate wildly here, just connecting what’s been said so far. Honestly, this seems like good news overall, so I’m a little surprised by the pushback.
