Parker was much worse for AA than vasu. At least vasu attempted to innovate where as the parker and america west strategy was to shrink, cut and play it safe. It's better to try and fail than not to try at all. Vasu was a foul-mouthed ego maniac but so was kirby and look at Kirby's run at United. Now we are stuck with a CEO that may very well be the most boring man alive and people in management positions that look up to that.
I’d rather have the boring confident leader like EB at DL over some asshat at UA who struggles daily with little-man syndrome. The personality of your CEO has next to nothing to do with the success of an airline anyways.
