If one is a senior WBFO they would also be a reasonably senior NBCA. I think in every base/category I’d be more senior as a NBCA vs a WBFO - especially in the non-coast bases.
That being said, as a pretty senior WBFO (~35%) contemplating taking an upgrade, I pretty much assume the income will be the same.

I'm 45% NB/CA live in base, and will bid WB/FO in base at first opportunity when my lock is up next year, I'll be roughly same percentage in base. Not so much for the money but for QOL, I'd rather fly 3 trips with one leg each way, little chance of reassignment, and quite frankly less dealing with crap. Sure it is a pay cut, but not that much. Some things are more important than money.
