Then told us we were going to operate as a ferry with original call sign with stub then changed that to yet another call sign - the 19.5 hour thing was something that just happens automatically. They did cancel the original flight though. To me that seems like a RR.
Whether or not they cancel it on the Delta website is irrelevant. If it was operated as a ferry, especially as the same flight number, it is considered delayed operation and not subject to reroute.
