They'll be buying wide bodies from China that are flying around empty. But they'll still be shrinking. It's just part of their transition to premium.
Economy passengers are declining and premium is basically the only profitable segment these days.
Delta and United are banks that fly planes. Sw is trying to catch up as low yield passengers don't spend enough.
But the big take away is the consumer is broke. Everyone is waiting for the weak players to fail so they can eat market share and shrink to profitability.
Everyone is putting on a brave face for the cameras.
The data is worse than the gfc.
