Fair enough I wasn't sure how dire the situation is. Only other way I know to break a seat lock is the opening of a new category. Like when MCO opened up, FO’s used that to break their new hire seat locks on wide body’s (it was a weird time) and get to the 737, only to bid out of MCO.
