Projection you say?
Domestically your operation is heinous. You are miles behind a little carrier called JB when it comes to domestic service.
FLB might not fly on you a whole lot domestically. I don't fly you internationally, I just non-rev on my metal or purchase a tix on one of the Asian carriers. I wouldn't waste the $$$ anyway on your crappy service and product. When I fly to Asia it's always on one of the Asian carriers if not on my own metal. Far better staff and service, especially in the premium cabins. When flying to Europe I either non-rev or purchase a tix on my metal
being in the industry as long as i have, your "product" is not as bright and shiny as you want to think it is. You lag behind in many areas. Are you catching up? Yes. but you'll never really "catch up" because you were always behind and those ahead of you are innovating and moving forward faster than you can just to get their old baseline. They're constantly moving the goal posts on you and all you can do is play catch up. That's a good thing, it's what competition does. Forces the industry to adapt and increase levels of service to the folks who pay our bills.
We are beginning yet another "expansion" towards Asia. We target specific routes and destinations for maximum earning. We are slow and deliberate in our process here. By design. We'll see how that turns out.
BTW the best service I've gotten out there (on a US carrier) is Jet Blue. Consistently very very good.
