I don’t think that’s correct.

These exist in the bid packets of LAX and PHX for sure and I’ve even seen it in MIA for trailing redeyes. Both 737 and 320.

Several times a week there is an ONT-PHX-(somewhere redeye). Just scrolling through random trips I found ONT-PHX-MCO operated by a line holding LAX 320 crew. Normal sequence not a 3000. Followed by min rest day sleep and a two leg day the next day… and of course it’s a soft time trip.

Not every month for every base, but they definitely exist as real pairings.

It should be contractually banned. Somehow it’s not.
