Could very well draw attention. But wearing a certain costume, in a certain place has already been litigated. Also behaving in a manner to bring disrepute upon those associated with the costume. So you can wear a pilot suit and get drunk at a bar in the terminal, even if it scares the flying public. You just can't present yourself and attempt to perform official duties or access secure areas.
Now I do agree that using a nonrev pass to get through security with no intent to fly could be bad jus jus, if somebody wanted to make the case. But you can work around that...
1. Get permission from the airport authority to enter as a journalist (they do that sometimes, and they can't really say no to journalists).
2. Simply get on a plane and go somewhere.
